Staying at Skipton’s Rendezvous Hotel, this self-guided package starts with a sumptuous breakfast in the hotel restaurant overlooking the canal towpath before guests pick up a selection of route maps and cards offering suggestions of the best places to go.

On route through the Dales’ most gorgeous hamlets and villages or on off-road tracks, guests are fuelled by a selection of provided energy supplements to keep them fully charged, and in the very unlikely event something goes wrong, the hotel offers an accident call-out system to ferry guests back to their lodgings.

Back at the Rendezvous Hotel, there’s secure bike storage for those who bring their own cycles and a drying room for any damp kit. Guests looking to chill out for a while can relax in the hotel’s leisure club with its pool, saunas and steam rooms. Evenings end with another superb meal in the hotel restaurant.
