St Andrew’s Church in Klidwick (pictured). The Church was founded in AD 950 and is a magnificent building dating from the 14th century.
Head down the High Street and onto Keighley Road, following this until you reach the Tesco garage. Then turn right onto Carleton Road and follow this for 2km.
Ride through Carleton-in-Craven and follow Skipton Old Road out of the village and take the climb towards Colne.
After 2km turn left into Moor Lane at a crossroads signposted Cross Hills/Keighley.
The road undulates and climbs before reaching the top by a wood on the left. Continue along the road as it descends quickly for 5km into Cross Hills. The road becomes Babyhouse Lane and then Lothersdale Road along the way.
At the bottom of the hill there is a sharp 90degree right hand bend with a T-junction: do not go round the bend but carry straight on to Park Road (indicated 20mph and dead end). Follow this all the way to its end.
At the dead end of Park Road, dismount and cross the pavement and turn left down Station Road (B6172)
After 300m and just before the main roundabout there is a path on the left. Dismount and follow this path as it takes you under Main Road to bypass the roundabout.
Turn left up Main Road, over the River Aire and ride up into Kildwick past St Andrew’s Church and White Lion Pub. Go under the Canal Bridge. After 500m turn slightly left into Skipton Road. In another 500m turn right at the T-junction signposted Bradley (the road then continues as Skipton Road).
Ride up and through the woods and descend into Bradley. At the junction in Bradley, turn right onto Main Road and cycle through the village, before heading up and out of the village past Bradley’s Both Community School towards Skipton.
Carry onto the roundabout by the Bay Horse pub and turn left and ride all the way back into Skipton and up High Street.
